A Paris-based indie punk trio, plainly called Snatcher, recently released a single, “All The Lights”, that got me moving from the very first second.

I usually take time to listen to, if not all, then most of the submissions I get in my inbox. It won’t surprise anyone when I say it’s usually the first few seconds that decide whether I’ll keep listening. Well, this single had my head nodding from the second one.

Clearly, having only 77 monthly Spotify listeners at the moment doesn’t say much about the track’s potential. It’s well recorded and produced, with strong instrumentation and vocals – a danceable indie rock party anthem that recalls the best of MGMT and Bloc Party.

The band’s bio says: “Drawing inspiration from Bloc Party, Turnstile, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, IDLES, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Fontaines D.C., they craft high-energy tracks that take listeners on a journey between the California sun and the misty streets of England.” I couldn’t add anything more – you can almost hear what’s coming before you even press play.

Watch out for Snatcher near you, as they’re no strangers to touring across Europe and beyond. Or at least give them a follow – they might just make your day.

I did both, and more: their track “All The Lights” is now part of IndieWave FM’s playlist Dance with Electronic Rock.
