St. Louis, Missouri's Four Degrees Colder have released their debut full-length album, Nothing To Do.

Emerging from the city's alternative pop rock scene, the band's first full-length release expands on a sound rooted in contrast, pairing tightly wound, groove-forward rhythms with moments of deliberate minimalism and emotional restraint. Throughout the record, driving momentum is frequently interrupted or reframed by spacious, introspective passages that emphasise texture, atmosphere, and tonal weight as much as melody.

Conceptually, Nothing To Do follows two factory workers secretly living inside an automated factory after being replaced by AI crash dummies designed to eliminate human labour. Across its runtime, the album explores burnout, emotional overstimulation, inertia, and the fear of becoming obsolete, moving fluidly between explosive alt-rock, shoegaze-heavy walls of sound, and quieter moments of isolation. Rather than building towards a clear emotional resolution, the record maintains a constant tension between motion and stasis - the impulse to move forward against the experience of feeling trapped in place - allowing those opposing forces to coexist throughout its structure.

The album expands on a series of singles released over the past two years, including Pretty Men in Suits (2024), Maneater (2025), Buoyancy (2026), Crash Out (2026), and Don't Leave Me (2026), which collectively trace the band's progression towards a more cohesive and deliberate sonic identity.
