beejoo’s latest single "monsters" is a mesmerizing dive into dreamy pop and nostalgia. A 2-minute peace, as the artist herself explains, "was written during a time of betrayal and heartbreak, capturing the sadness of realizing someone’s true colours".

The singer and songwriter of the song convey the message really well. You can hear anger and frustration in her voice. But she does that so beautifully! Dreamy reverbs, shimmery guitars and a gentle voice–everything blends perfectly to call this A Beautiful Anger.

"monsters" is the essence of bedroom pop and might be a true treasure for niche indie music seekers. However, not to underestimate the potential of the song, it does have something more. Musicwise, it constantly grows and evolves, introducing new instruments and additional colours to the track. But most importantly, feeling wise it grabs your attention from the very first second and doesn’t let go even when the song finishes.

The artist introduces herself as a "shy girl wanting to be a pop star". As she might not be at her destination yet, she is indeed on the very right path.

This song is now featured on the IndieWave FM's playlist Beautiful Shoegaze & Dreampop.
