From the very first second of "This World Can’t Get Me Down," I imagined waves crashing onto a rocky beach and surfers hanging out by the shore. When I opened the band’s profile, I smiled—it was exactly this image as their profile picture.

For me, growing up in the Nordic/Eastern part of Europe, this is what Los Angeles indie rock sounds like. I might be completely wrong since this is not an educated guess, but when I try to place the song in a certain mood, I don’t mind it being a bit predictable. With that being said, I genuinely enjoyed all three minutes of the track.

bedsweater and their latest single are for those who can’t get through their day without nostalgic indie sounds in their ears. But it's also for those who find positivity in the small details of everyday life. "This World Can’t Get Me Down" is moving, evolving, and pulsing with good energy. Its punchy drum track and guitar-rich instrumentation will have you nodding along throughout the whole song.

The band’s single is now featured on the IndieWave FM's playlist Vibe Out with Lo-fi Indie Rock.
