“THE MAN” by BradBrooks: New York haze in a song

This blog post had my head scratching when I tried to fit its genre into two simple hashtags. Either I’m from a slightly different world thematically (which I am), or this artist is a true genius at taking a bit from every genre and blending it perfectly. Probably both.

THE MAN is a true New York haze painting. It’s Tyler, The Creator meets Blood Orange and does something great together. It’s a guy in a bedroom, spending nights writing music and putting it out into the world—and this music deserves to be heard.

While other tracks by Bradley (that’s the artist’s real name) lean more into a chill, lo-fi vibe, this one really turns up the energy. Groovy guitar riffs, sugary vocals, and powerful bass—a track that sways from hip-hop to almost Tame Impala’s drawer.

Enough trying to define what this song is. Let’s just listen to it and enjoy it! I’ll be following BradBrooks and eagerly waiting to see what he puts out next.
